ASSISTANT TO OUR LEAD PLANNER

Our Assistant Planners play a key role in helping us further what we do as a company and in expanding our ability to fulfill our mission in meeting one basic need: Connection.  We do what we do because we believe in community and celebrating the sweet joys life offers.   

Here at Ruffle Effect our hope is that our team members bring their passion and experience to the position while learning new perspectives and skills. We have three goals for this position:

1. Help keep clear communication with our clients + make sure they feel taken care of

2. Attend planning meetings for weddings and send out follow up emails

3. Help create and send out all planning docs for weddings to vendors, couples and the Ruffle Team

4. Open & close out weddings to make sure they run perfectly

Being on the Ruffle team is so fun, but it will also be a lot of work.

This job will be demanding, but it will be ever more rewarding. It will mean working long hours with strangers who will become your dear friends, dancing to Taylor swift while surrounded by flowers, learning the ins and outs of the wedding industry, pouring your heart into projects you deeply care about and helping a bride, groom, their family and friends celebrate a day that lives in their hearts forever.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS ASSISTANT TO OUR LEAD PLANNER
+ Attend staff meetings

+ Meet with Ally bi-weekly to go over upcoming events and client details

+ Check in on our clients monthly and answer their questions

+ Help with answering clients questions and researching when needed

+ Send out vendor, staff and client final detail email before weddings

+ Help plan our events by creating timelines and planning docs

+ Help research vendors and get quotes for our clients events

+ Attend & lead events as part of the Ruffle Effect staff

+ Run Rehearsals as part of the Ruffle Effect staff

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will be pursuing a career in the event industry with a working knowledge of Google Docs, and Canva. They must have all their own equipment including computer and a car. We will supply you with an ipad for wedding days and meetings. We are looking for someone who will be a self-starter with real attention to detail and an artistic eye. We also take pride in having a team that loves people and takes the time to listen well and care about the story being told. We look for teachable people who are ready to work hard and are excited about being a part of a growing business and making pretty things!

THE DETAILS
This job requires 20 hours a week + wedding days (8-10 hours)

Days are flexible, but must be consistant. This position can work from home or our studio, but must attend

meetings that are requried wherever they maybe.

$23 an hour with a raise in 6th months

This job can turn into full time in 2025.
